Summary:
Assist the NRWC by performing a wide range of human resources and administrative support tasks.
Responsible for completeness and accuracy of Team Member files for the entire company.
Maintain and update the HRIS system database.
Educate Team Members how to utilize HRIS Systems.
Maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS Required skills and knowledge:
High school diploma or GED certificate.
2 years' experience Human Resource.
6 months experience utilizing an HRIS or personnel database system.
Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to multi-task, organize, self-motivate and be dependable.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to safeguard confidential information.
Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
College level courses in human resources or similar studies.
3 years' experience Human Resource.
6 months casino experience.
Associates Degree in Business, HR, or related field.
Experience working with current NRWC HRIS.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand or walk for assigned shift.
Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.
Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
Knowledge of casino promotions.
Deliver excellent service to Team Members and guests.
Safeguard confidentiality regarding all NRWC Team Member information, such as, but not limited to wages, counseling, DOB, SS#, PHI etc.
Maintain communication with leadership through reminders to ensure timely completion of all evaluations.
Collaborate with NTGA for badge renewal dates, reminder letters to Team Members and notifications to leadership.
Maintain tracking of disciplinary action to ensure fair, accurate and timely delivery.
Assist with advising on proper Human Resources processes, policies, and procedures.
Perform specialized technical clerical work with speed and accuracy.
Prepare research for various Human Resources related issues such as policy and standard practices.
Respond to authorized requests for employment verification and references for current and previous Team Members.
Maintain all Team Member records - digital and hard copy files.
Maintain strong knowledge of HRIS systems.
Certified to collect pre-employment and post-accident drug screening.
Initiate NTGA background investigations by completing new hires paperwork and conducting badging sessions.
Back up HR Administrative Assistant in providing support.
Maintain records retention program for human resource documents.
Sit in on committees to support the NRWC mission, vision, and core values.
Clerical assistance for HR Management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
NATIVE AMERICAN HIRING PREFERENCE Rev:
