We are seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician.
You will be assigned to perform a variety of duties with the general maintenance of Scott Lake Properties, including performing or directing others to perform general park maintenance; maintaining and minor repairs to existing buildings & existing facilities; performing inspections, maintenance and minor mechanical repairs of equipment, builds, facilities' custodial care of facilities; maintenance and repair of fences, pathways & ground maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Daily park checks, pick up litter, custodial and cleanup functions - cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping & cleaning floors; emptying trash, raking wood chips in a playground.
- Restock soap and toilet paper in park bathrooms.
- Take out garbage from the community center & put trash & recycle cans out for weekly and monthly pickups.
- Park Shelter - Sweep/blow to remove debris, clean & wipe tables.
- Operate mower, blower, chainsaw, weed eater & a variety of landscaping/parks maintenance-related power and hand tools.
- Assist in set-up, support & clean-up of special events.
- Perform ground maintenance, such as mowing and trimming lawns, pruning trees and shrubs, and removing leaves, snow, and debris.
- Inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs for buildings, facilities, and parks including fences.

- Maintain the sports courts including repairing bleachers, cleaning, sweeping/blowing, and pressure washing tennis/pickleball & basketball courts.
Maintain baseball field:
cut grass and keep infield free of weeds.
- Pressure was all SLMC signs twice a year or as needed.
- Change verbiage on the reader board when necessary.
-Measure and record chlorine residual levels in the Scott Lake Water System following the Department of Health requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Able to lift 50 pounds - Preference will be given to applicants with 5 years of experience or more.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with the Executive Secretary or Board of Directors.
- Familiar with operating:
riding and pushing lawn mower, weed eater, tractor, blower, and other power tools.
